A family room at our Arlberg ski hotel: two rooms, one bathroom

The Family Mondschein joins a Comfort Double and a Smart room on the third floor, rooms 306 and 307. Each has its own entrance door. Between them are a bathroom with a shower and a separate WC, and a walk-in wardrobe. Together that makes 35 m² for up to four people.

Both rooms have a double bed in Swiss pine. In the evening the parents close their door and the children close theirs.

The walk-in wardrobe

Four ski jackets and four pairs of gloves need space. That is what the walk-in wardrobe between the rooms is for. The ski boots stay downstairs in the ski room under the terrace, in the locker with a boot warmer. In the morning they are warm, the small ones too.

With a pushchair or heavy luggage, take the lift: it connects all six guest levels.

Not a children's hotel

The Mondschein has no children's programme. What it has: the Stuben ski school in the village, Skibase ski rental right across the road and a free cot on request. In the afternoon you ski back down to the village, the children too. How families ski with us is explained under ski holidays with kids.

Before you arrive, and on a day off

Let us know about your children's allergies and intolerances before you arrive. The menu changes daily, and not every ingredient can be replaced at short notice. Buy the ski pass for the whole family in advance online through the hotel's link.

If someone needs a day without downhill skiing: a cross-country trail runs through Stuben, and around the Arlberg there are some 80 km of groomed trails, with flat stretches for beginners.

Four or five

Travelling as five? Take the Family Mondschein 5: up to 40 m², the same layout, with a sofa bed for the fifth person.

With half board dinner is reserved for all four of you, between 6.30 and 8.30 pm in the Panorama Restaurant or the Zirbenstube. Check dates for the family room.

Questions about the Family Mondschein

How many people sleep in the Family Mondschein?

Up to four. Each of the two rooms has a Swiss pine double bed. For a fifth person there is the Family Mondschein 5 with a sofa bed.

Does each room have its own bathroom?

No. The two rooms share a bathroom with a shower and a separate WC, which lies between them. Each room does have its own entrance door.

Is there a cot?

Yes. On request we put a free cot in one of the two rooms, just note it when you book.

Is there childcare?

No, the Mondschein is not a children's hotel. Children learn to ski at the Stuben ski school in the village, and reception helps with the registration.

Bathtub or shower?

A shower, plus a separate WC. So one child can shower while another needs the toilet.

Where do wet ski clothes dry?

In the heated wardrobe that every room at the Ski Hotel has. The locker in the ski room warms the boots overnight, and the walk-in wardrobe takes the rest.
