Frequently asked questions about lifts, pistes and snow

When does Ski Arlberg open?

Ski Arlberg opens in early December. For the 2026/27 season, operations are planned from 2 December 2026 to 18 April 2027; some sectors such as Warth-Schröcken open a few days later. As soon as the first lifts run, this page shows them as open.

How many lifts and pistes does Ski Arlberg have?

The live list from Ski Arlberg contains 85 lifts and 204 piste sections. For each one this page shows whether it is open or closed right now. One ski pass covers the whole area, from Stuben via St. Anton and St. Christoph to Lech, Zürs and Warth-Schröcken.

How do I get from Stuben into the ski area?

With the Albonabahn I, a three-minute walk from the Ski Hotel Mondschein. Since winter 2023/24 it has been an eight-seat gondola. Together with the Albonabahn II it serves the Albona above Stuben, and from there you are in the Ski Arlberg network. You can buy your ski pass at reception.

Can I ski from Stuben to Lech, Zürs and St. Anton?

Yes, in the winter season. Since December 2016 the Flexenbahn has linked the Stuben lift network with Zürs, and from there you continue to Lech. St. Anton is on the same side as Stuben, and there and back is easily done in a day. Check beforehand when the last Flexenbahn runs back.

How up to date is the data?

Our server fetches the data from Ski Arlberg and Open-Meteo every few minutes, and the page shows the time it was retrieved. Reload the page for the latest status. If something changes at short notice on the mountain, the display at the valley station applies, and reception is happy to help.

Where can I see the avalanche danger?

The avalanche danger is assessed by the Vorarlberg avalanche warning service, which publishes its report during the winter season. During the season you also see the current level on this page. Read the full report before any run off the piste and go with a mountain guide; the hotel can arrange one on request.
