Half board at the Mondschein: what is served
You start at the salad buffet, followed by a soup. For the main course you choose from several dishes, one of them vegetarian. To finish there is a dessert.
The menu changes daily and is alpine, with regional ingredients. It is cooked by the same brigade that prepares the Chef's Table and the menu of the Alte Gaststube. Stay for a week and you eat something different every evening from the same kitchen.
When and where you have dinner
Guests at the Ski Hotel and the Chalet come to dinner between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm. Your table is reserved, so there is no need to book. The wellness area on the first floor is open until 6.30 pm, and then dinner begins. After a ski day in Lech or St. Anton there is still time for the sauna and to change.
Dinner is served mainly in the Panorama Restaurant and the Zirbenstube on the first floor. When it is full there, some guests sit in the Alte Gaststube. If you want to eat with friends from another room, tell reception and you will be seated together.
You can invite friends, family or colleagues who are not staying with us. Please reserve extra seats for them. À la carte is only served in the Alte Gaststube, in the evening from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Half board at the Arlberg Motel
The Arlberg Motel is a bed and breakfast. Motel guests add the Chef's Choice per person or reserve a table in the evening like à la carte guests. When tables are scarce, Motel guests have priority over visitors. They receive the Mondschein guest discount on food and drink.
In the week around New Year and in two weeks in February, half board is included at the Motel. Reception can tell you the exact weeks.
Breakfast in every house
- Ski Hotel Mondschein: a buffet in the Panorama Restaurant and the Zirbenstube, with egg dishes cooked fresh by a chef. You usually keep the same table all week.
- Mondschein Chalet: a pyjama breakfast in your suite, ordered the day before and brought between 7.30 am and 10 am.
- Arlberg Motel: in the Motel's two breakfast rooms.
The full breakfast is ready at around 7.30 am. If you leave early, there is a smaller breakfast with coffee or tea between 7 am and 7.30 am. If you leave even earlier, say at 5 am, we pack you a lunch box.
A different evening: fondue, Chef's Table, wine aperitif
Fondue is served every evening from 6 pm in the Bilderzimmer, in two kinds and by reservation only. With half board you pay a supplement of €15 per person, without half board €56. More on the page fondue at the Mondschein.
The Chef's Table runs from Friday to Monday for no more than eight guests. The evening starts at 7 pm with an aperitif in the wine cellar, and the menu follows at around 7.30 pm. Hotel guests pay a supplement of €195 per person, visitors €235. Reservation and payment in advance are required.
Before dinner you can book the wine aperitif in the candlelit wine cellar. It costs €56 per booking for up to six people, starts at 5.30 pm, 6 pm or 6.30 pm and lasts 20 to 25 minutes.
Allergies and intolerances
Please tell us about allergies and intolerances before you arrive, as early as possible. We cannot accommodate every allergy. At the Chef's Table, with its changing menu, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free kitchen.
