Wine Tasting
Once a week our most respected sommelier Werner Walch opens the doors to the most revered corner of our house – the candle-lit cellar.
Wine tasting for our friends and Hotel Guests takes place in two stages.
Initially we are introduced to the refreshing young wines from the Steiermark and Burgenland.
A short break is accompanied by some traditional “Grösti”.
Then the serious part begins.
Werner takes us on a journey of discovery through the vineyards of the white wines from the Wachau. Once more we start with the fresher “Heurigen” (this years harvest) and advance to the subtlety of our oldest wines.
Care has been taken to preserve the relationship of price/quality. Years of painstaking attention to detail have gone into the collection of our variety of wines.
