Mondschein has got a long skiing tradition!
The hotel Mondschein is situated in the centre of the “capital of snow”, the romantic village Stuben am Arlberg, only two steps far from the skilift. Is is one of the oldest houses in Stuben (since 1739) and has a long ski and winter sport tradition.
Once Luis Trenker set on the old table at Mondschein’s Gaststube, during his filming breaks. Stuben am Arlberg was the location for the legendary “White Noise” film.
Hannes Schneider, ski pioneer, was born in the neighbour house. Willi Walch, former Mondschein-proprietor was the first medail winner for Austria at the Ski World Championchip!
As well snowboard legends like Terry Kidwell, Shawn Farmer, Bob Klein, and many more still enjoy and breath in Mondschein’s cosy atmosphere!
Even big players of the skiing industry test their new ski models here in Stuben am Arlberg and – of course stay and workshop at the Hotel Mondschein.

Skiing off-piste and/or touring on open terrain.
We work close together with our regional alpine skischools who provide the best educated and experienced ski and mountain guides!
We will be pleasured to organise your individual freeride adventure or ski tour with deep snow experience.

All tours and freeski days start with security traings like avalanche risk management, peep-training, GPS orientation on open terrain, route planning, etc…
